More than 150 schools are in lockdown: Jaisalmer

Jaisalmer . The second month of education session is going to off but still today in Jaisalmer district to end the deputation in schools; the government has issued a hasty order due to which more than 150 schools in the district have been under lock and key. Studies are close to nil in many border villages’ schools as well as in city schools.

This decision has caused tension among faculties and jeopardising the student’s future said Jaisalmer legislator Chotu Singh Bhati. After implementing the government’s rather harsh decision, the local authorities are trying extremely hard to get teaching back to these closed schools.

Teacher’s Leader Sukhdev Singh said on the orders of the local authorities, premier schools as well as higher English medium schools employed alert teachers on the higher positions of the recruitment committee. He said government’s belief was that alert teachers were present in towns or nearby areas. But in reality, teachers had been alerted in these schools so as they may escape censure.

Following the governments order, these professional teachers were sent to these schools, but now, the students are waiting for their teachers but in vain said Jaisalmer Social Worker Dr. D.D.Ojha.

Retired Deputy Director Education B.K.Joshi said the local authorities went into action but did not have the courage to go against the education department of the government. That’s why in the schools which studies have come to a halt, they are unable to find good and professional teachers.

Cheif Executive Officer of the District Council Jaisalmer Baldev Singh Ujjwal has ordered a full report from the schools of the district so that the government can familiarise themselves with the problem and take appropriate counter measures.
